Calma Mental Health Center

Azyra Hollingsworth is a dedicated and compassionate professional at Calma Mental Health Center, where she specializes in tutoring and developmental support for children with mental health challenges and special needs. Known for her gentle and patient approach, Azyra works closely with children who require individualized learning strategies and emotional support to thrive academically and socially.

A graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Psychology, Azyra is currently pursuing her Master’s in Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. She was named to the Dean’s List at FAU in Fall 2024 for her academic excellence. At Calma, Azyra also assists in conducting child development skill assessments and contributes to therapeutic programs focused on life skills, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and academic success.

With hands-on experience supporting children with complex emotional needs, Azyra brings both empathy and structure to every interaction. Her background includes assisting in programs that teach essential coping skills and help children build confidence in both academic and real-world settings.

In addition to her work in mental health, Azyra is a talented visual artist. Her artwork was featured in the Student Surrealist Art Exhibit: Statewide 2021 hosted by the Salvador Dalí Museum, showcasing her creative expression and unique perspective. She is currently illustrating a children’s book centered on emotional management, blending her passions for psychology and art in a meaningful way.

Outside of her clinical and creative pursuits, Azyra is deeply family-oriented and values health and wellness. You can often find her at the gym, staying grounded through physical fitness. She also supports the Calma team by working at the front desk, offering a warm and welcoming presence to clients and families.

Azyra’s passion for psychology, her artistic talent, and her commitment to nurturing young minds make her an invaluable part of the Calma Mental Health Center team.
